about
my name is anthony, if you have intentionally come to this site, then I assume you know something about me. if you do not know me, then this is for you.
i was born in new orleans, louisiana on september second, nineteen-ninety-two. shortly after, my parents moved to mexico, where i spent the first seven years of my life. most of that time was spent in acapulco where my father’s church was.
not long after a brief return to the united states, we moved to mumbai (then some still called it bombay), india where we lived for four years with frequent stays in singapore.
after four years of living in india, we moved to singapore full time sometime around the early turn of the century.
singapore remains my biggest influence in my formative years and still bears a strong presence in my heart and soul.
tokyo
i moved to tokyo in two-thousand-eleven, shortly after the tsunami and earthquake in the same year. living here now for over ten years, i have gone through every phase of love to hate for this city. but, in the end, the things i like about this place still outweigh the things i don’t
current
while i don’t wish to go over every detail of my life here, my current circumstances are as follows
i am the tokyo area manager of a craft beer brewery/taproom business known as “Tokyo Aleworks” with a brewery/taproom in itabashi and a smaller taproom in yurakucho.
most of my waking hours are spent either in the stores or working on the stores from home or a table in a cafe. it is tiring and arduous but i can say that the people i meet and work with are what make it worthwhile.
